Merck Research Lab is currently recruiting for a 2018 Resource Planning & Management (RPM) summer intern. The assignment focuses on report creation and the utilization of time tracking tools/data that complement resource planning, capacity, and headcount activities. The team predominantly supports the functional areas within the Global Clinical Development area of the Company’s Merck Research Labs division. Because the team collaborates with various departments, this assignment provides the candidate with an opportunity to learn what areas operationally support clinical trials from start up to close out.

The RPM team is a welcoming, dynamic, and helpful team. The team is glad to share their knowledge so that the candidate can gain a general understanding of resource planning-related topics for the clinical development area of the organization. We look forward to the candidate contributing to the development and completion of our deliverables.



- Required: Candidates must be a rising sophomore or junior currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

- Candidates must be returning to school in the Fall of 2018.

Required Experience:

- Candidates should have an interest in planning-related or operational reporting activities.

- Candidates must have advanced analytical skills.

- Candidates should have skills using advanced Excel or other technical reporting skills, including experience creating reports and graphs.

Preferred Experience:

- Previous internship experience is preferred.
