The present randomized multicentric comparative trial aims at evaluating the clinical and radiographic results obtained in patients affected by symptomatic osteochondral lesions of the knee, who will be treated either by implantation of a biomimetic osteochondral scaffold (Agili-C, produced by Cartiheal) or by microfracturing in the lesion site (control group). After surgery, patients will be assigned to a proper rehabilitation program. Patients will be then followed up by clinical and radiologic examination up to 24 months after surgery. The trial might be extended up to 60 months' evaluation.
