Merck Oncology is a rapidly growing business within Merck Global Human Health, dedicated to developing breakthrough biomedical innovations to help extend and improve the lives of people with cancer worldwide. The Senior Specialist roles are intended to develop future commercial leaders in Merck Oncology.

Candidates will begin their experience in strategic Market Research - completing projects to assess market dynamics and unmet customer needs, in order to identify leverage points for new product launches across a variety of oncology markets. Projects could be US focused or Global in scope.

Upon completion of this first assignment (usually 18-24 months), the candidate would be expected to rotate to another commercial area in Merck Oncology, based on career interests and business need. This may include, but not be limited to, opportunities in Global Marketing Communication, Pricing & Reimbursement, Learning and Development, Brand Marketing and Business Operations.

- BS or BA degree and currently enrolled in a program leading to a Master in Business Administration with a Graduate date of June 2018

Required Experience:

- A minimum of 2 years of professional work/internship experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare or biomedical industries.
- Marketing concentration and interest

Preferred Experience:

- Excellence in analytic skills (qualitative and quantitative), strategic thinking and problem-solving
- Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional teamwork in a matrixed business environment
- Superior communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
