A Postdoctoral Research position is immediately available to investigate the molecular and cellular players that contribute to COPD and to develop effective targeted interventions. Applicants must have a strong background in cellular and molecular biology, experience with small animal work and leukocyte biology or lung injury. Preference will be given to candidate with 2-4 years of postdoctoral research experience in acute or chronic lung injuries including COPD or pulmonary infections. Candidates with expertise in systems analysis of molecular interactions, studies of inflammatory cells (neutrophils, lymphocytes, macrophages, and other leukocytes), or transplant immunology or mitochondrial biology are also encouraged to apply.
