MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Whitehead Institute http://wi.mit.edu/ and Department of Biology at M.I.T. https://biology.mit.edu/ are seeking outstanding scientists for two tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates may apply to either or both searches.
Fundamental Biology: We are interested in candidates who are pursuing fundamental problems in molecular, cellular, or organismal biology. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to development, cell biology, computational biology, chemical biology, biophysics, structural biology, physiology, and genetics.
Mammalian Biology: We are interested in candidates who are pursuing fundamental problems in mammalian biology, including approaches in human biology or in non-human models.
A successful applicant will be expected to develop a significant, independent research program and to share our commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education.
Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent and should submit curriculum vitae with a summary of current and proposed research programs, a brief teaching statement on teaching philosophy and interests, and should arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted to:
