The activity covered by the contract comprises teaching and research activities. The research activity will be focused on topics related to the academic discipline “Papyrology”, and in particular: edition (also digital) of Greek documentary and paraliterary texts; analysis of papyrus documents with the purpose of studying the socio-cultural context of Graeco-Roman Egypt, with a particular focus on linguistic issues and on the history of sciences; development of digital methodologies and resources for papyrological studies.

Scientific productivity objectives

The objectives of scientific productivity will be: at least a monograph about a topic related to the research activities; at least two articles in international journals about topics related to the research activities; participation in national and international conferences and congresses with papers related to the research project; production of digital editions of papyri on the international databases (Papyri.info and Digital Corpus of Literary Papyrology).

Overall didactic commitment of the researcher

The didactic commitment ofr the period covered by the contract is related to the teachings of:

-Papirology (for the Bachelor degree in Arts and Humanities)

-Papirology (for the Master degree in Classical and Modern Philology and Literature)

Teaching may include lectures, tutorials, support in any other forms of student instruction, grading and evaluation of papers and evaluation of final exams, on the subjects and topics covered by the contract. Frontal instruction for up to 120 hours university transfer credits is required, according to university regulations.
