A Postdoctoral position at the NIH, NIDCR,
Epithelial Signaling and Transport Section
A postdoctoral position is available immediately for an Electrophysiologist for those who have no more than three years after completing the Ph.D. with experience in whole cell and preferably single channel current recordings and basic molecular biology techniques that will study regulation of ion channels and transporters mediating epithelial fluid and bicarbonate secretion. Present projects include regulation NBCe1-B, CFTR and the SLC26 transporters by PIP2 and intracellular Cl- and the molecular mechanism of synergism in epithelial transport. The NIH is an excellent place to train as a Postdoctoral fellow. Fellows would have the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of fellows from all over the world and with many renowned scientists. The NIH offers very competitive salary and excellent package of fringe benefits that include health and dental insurance.
If interested please contact Dr. Shmuel Muallem at firstname.lastname@example.org and describe the experience as it relates to the position.
