Architecture and Environment
The environmental question imposes the need to rethink, in a sustainable and permissible manner, ways of inhabiting our towns, our organization of public spaces and transports the management of resources and ecosystems, energy, water and soil planning, landscape management, architecture design and the reuse/regeneration of cities, including the design of objects and communication. The doctoral programme is open to students from different disciplinary fields who want to understand and become capable of analysing the relationship between the built environment and the ecosystems in order to design, plan and manage its transformations. This requires a multidisciplinary approach to the system: the boundaries of disciplines and their theories do not address the issue of sustainability in an integrated manner.
