Global democracy and comparative political theory
The project aims at giving a contribution to the elaboration of a “comparative political theory” that extends the borders of the traditional Western political theory. The intent is to build the foundations for an inclusive intercultural dialogue. To this end, it intends to carry out a detailed study of some non-Western contexts (India, MENA, China, Russia and Africa) and their political theories. The idea is that these theories can provide important tools to address the theoretical and practical problems of contemporary liberal democracies.
This is a philosophical-political project, but inter-disciplinarity is welcome.
