BIOMORPHOLOGIC AND SURGICAL SCIENCES
The training activities will be articulated in the multi-disciplinary integration of the following objectives:
1. Use and implementation of molecular imaging techniques for the purpose of developing specific competences for the design and synthesis of radiotracers, for metabolic and functional imaging applications with particular reference to neoplastic diseases, nervous system and cardiovascular system.
2. Use of pathology techniques to identify and validate novel prognosis and/or therapeutic response bio-markers in human cancer, degenerative and inflammatory pathology.
3. Implementation of bariatric and metabolic surgery, in the evaluation of the scientific interest and of the socio-economic benefits, which may result in an important saving of healthcare expenditure due to all comorbidity associated with pathological obesity such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and carotid arthropathy.
