The aim of this project is the development of approaches based on vibrational spectroscopy techniques for the quantification of RNA, and in particular of miRNA, from biological samples such as biofluids. The project might involve, besides detection based on vibrational spectroscopies, the design and development of integrated microfluidic devices via micro- and nano-fabrication, for sample preprocessing. Moreover, multivariate regression techniques will be used for data analysis, on platforms such as R and Orange
