The detection of clinically validated markers can be improved with newly developed, innovative, nanotechnology-based, sensitive devices, with minimal sample volume requirements. In this framework, the design of new ligands and receptors for protein recognition is a key step towards the development of new diagnostic tools and innovative drugs. To this aim, computational design allows to accelerate the evolution of new biosynthetic agents designed to answer difficult questions for conventional approaches, such as identifying binders for specific (non-immunogenic) epitopes. The ideal candidate for this position will therefore be an expert in a wide variety of computational techniques (in particular Monte Carlo, Molecular Dynamics) with previous expertise in the design of nanodevices and in collecting his/her resources to reach the goal of her assigned projects
