Associate/Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine (MED); AD-0601-00 (Infectious Disease)
Applications are invited for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure track) in the Infectious Diseases Division of the Department of Medicine (MED), F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine. We seek outstanding candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and postdoctoral training to develop a research program in infectious diseases as it relates to vaccinology. Candidates with innovative research programs in related disciplines including but not limited to basic immunology, virology, microbiology, parasitology and systems biology are also invited to apply. The position is tenure-track, with full competitive salary based on experience. U.S. Citizenship is required.
USU shares a campus with Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and is directly across the street from the NIH. Potential projects that would contribute to collaborations among the area’s institutions, and that make good use of DoD resources including specialized expertise and logistics, biorepositories, and infectious diseases research centers are of particular interest. The University has state-of-the-art core facilities to support research activities. Demonstrated evidence of substantial research and development expertise documented by scientific publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals is required.
