Assistant Professor - Department of Microbiology & Immunology

The Department of Microbiology & Immunology at Midwestern University, Glendale, Arizona, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. A Ph.D. or equivalent degree is required. Teaching responsibilities will include participation in team-taught immunology and microbiology courses within the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Optometry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine and/or Health Sciences. Prior teaching experience is desirable with preference given to those with experience in immunology, virology, and/or bacteriology. The successful applicant is expected to develop an active research program with the potential to attract extramural funding. A start-up package will be provided. Research space will be provided in close proximity to a group that has a focus in infectious diseases, immunology, and inflammation, and has considerable facilities and equipment for such research.  The successful candidate will have access to these facilities.
