Over 5,000 full-time students are enrolled in graduate programs in Osteopathic Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nurse Anesthesia, Cardiovascular Perfusion, Podiatry, Optometry, Clinical Psychology, Speech Language Pathology and Biomedical Sciences. The Department of Microbiology & Immunology at Midwestern University, Glendale, Arizona, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. A Ph.D. or equivalent degree is required. Teaching responsibilities will include participation in team-taught immunology and microbiology courses within the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Optometry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine and/or Health Sciences. Prior teaching experience is desirable with preference given to those with experience in immunology, virology, and/or bacteriology. The successful applicant is expected to develop an active research program with the potential to attract extramural funding. A start-up package will be provided. Research space will be provided in close proximity to a group that has a focus in infectious diseases, immunology, and inflammation, and has considerable facilities and equipment for such research.  The successful candidate will have access to these facilities.
