Applicants are invited for a full-time faculty position at the associate professor level in the Graduate College of Biomedical Sciences, Western University of Health Sciences, on its Pomona, California campus. Rank and salary will be based upon qualifications and experience.
We are seeking a professor to establish and develop an original research program in one of the three areas identified in the strategic plan as being areas where Western University can make significant contribution (systems neurobiology, molecular and metabolic disorders, and infectious diseases and immunology). To obtain external funds to support and develop the research activities in the laboratory of the faculty; in particular, to write and submit proposals to federal, state and private funding organizations. To contribute scholarly activities, including writing original manuscripts, reviews, reports, etc., and to participate to national and international symposia or meetings. To teach courses for graduate students as well as participate in teaching activities of other Colleges in the University. To train and mentor graduate students in the Graduate College and in other Colleges of the University.
