The role of this tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Graduate College of Biomedical Sciences is to provide high-quality graduate level instruction, research and mentorship to students in the biomedical sciences.  The ideal candidate will have teaching and practical experience in human anatomy and biomechanics, as the successful candidate will also have appointment in the College of Podiatric Medicine and the College of Allied Health Professions, Department of Physical Therapy (PT) Education.  He/she will be expected to contribute part of his efforts to teaching anatomy in the GCBS and to contribute to the teaching and training of students in the CPM and the PT program.

Ph.D. degree in a human anatomy with an emphasis on human biomechanics/kinesiology from an accredited institution is required.

Essential Qualifications:

Ph.D. degree in a human anatomy with an emphasis on human biomechanics/kinesiology from an accredited institution is required.

Evidence of successful, independent teaching in human gross and functional anatomy and biomechanics would be preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to effectively teach students in small or mid-size classroom and laboratory settings.

Strong and broad background in human anatomy and/or human biomechanics/kinesiology.

Experience in mentoring graduate researchers.
