Assistant Professor.  The Department of Microbiology and Immunology (http://www.uams.edu/mbim/) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor.  Applicants with more seniority will also be considered. We are seeking an outstanding investigator who will establish a competitive research program in the area of immunology.  Depending on the area of study, the successful candidate may interact with and benefit from the UAMS-based NIH Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE): Center for Microbial Pathogenesis and Host Inflammatory Responses (http://cmphir.uams.edu/).  Departmental faculty members are expected to maintain an extramurally funded research program and to contribute to the teaching and training of graduate and medical students.  Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, postdoctoral experience and documented research productivity.  Applications must include curriculum vitae, statement of research accomplishments and future research interests/goals, statement of teaching experience, and contact information for 3 professional references.  E-mail all application materials as PDF to:  microapp@uams.edu.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.  Review of applications will begin immediately.  UAMS is an equal opportunity employer and promotes workplace diversity.
