The Department of Chemistry at Southern Methodist University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment beginning Fall/August 2018. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry or related discipline. Successful candidates must have a strong commitment to research and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including advanced laboratory courses and modern experimental physical chemistry. The candidate will be expected to establish a high-impact research program in experimental physical chemistry.  Although all disciplines will be considered, applicants specializing in experimental physical chemistry of materials/polymers or biophysical chemistry will be given special attention.
