Faculty Member - Biomedical Research
Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (LA BioMed) is committed to being at the forefront of translational biomedical research. This new faculty position will function to enhance LA BioMed’s multidisciplinary, trans-sectorial expertise by adding research expertise that will synergize with our existing vibrant and interactive research groups in Brain and Behavior, Cancer, Cardiovascular and Kidney Diseases, Genetics, Health Services and Outcomes, Infection and Immunity, Metabolism and Endocrinology, and Respiratory Physiology and Medicine.
LA BioMed invites applications from highly accomplished individuals with an MD, PhD, or equivalent degree, at an early career stage with at least three years of postdoctoral training, or as an established mid-career level investigator. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, inflammation and immunity, microbiome studies, metabolism, rare diseases and exercise physiology. Applicants whose research encompasses translational research (from basic science to community health) and those bringing novel approaches or cutting-edge technologies to study basic or translational aspects of chronic diseases (including health outcomes and clinical trials) are encouraged to apply.
