The Department of Biological Sciences at Lehigh University invites applications for a tenure-track position in either Microbiology or Computational Biology. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. with at least 2 years of postdoctoral research experience and have a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education. She/he will be expected to establish an independent, extramurally funded research program in either Microbiology, including, but not limited to, prokaryotic biology, microbiome, pathogen-host interactions, immunology or viral replication/pathogenesis; or Computational Biology, including, but not limited to, population genetics, ecological or evolutionary genomics, conservation, quantitative genetics, comparative genomics, epidemiology, or computational neuroscience. Strong consideration will be given to applicants who may contribute to the collaborative environment within the department and/or university programs including bioengineering, the environmental initiative or the campus-wide health initiative. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the undergraduate and Ph.D. programs within his/her area of expertise.
