Science Education Administrator (Program Director)
The National Science Foundation’s Division of Graduate Education (DGE) announces a nationwide search for two Program Directors with expertise in research, research administration, and/or graduate education administration experience. Also desirable are candidates who are highly knowledgeable in the field of graduate education, participate actively in the science and engineering community, have strong teamwork and collaborative skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and are effective spokespersons in the science and engineering community.
The programs in DGE promote the early career development of scientists and engineers by providing fellowships, scholarships and traineeships for graduate study; the division also supports research on STEM workforce development and innovative methods for graduate education. All programs encourage the integration of research and education and seek to ensure a steady flow of diverse, high-ability graduates in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to the nation.
