Lead construction management and safety for Global Engineering Solutions organization in Southeast US, Midwest and Puerto Rico. Coach, mentor and guide partner firms on a portfolio of projects through construction planning and execution. Demonstrated excellence in project management, construction, leadership, speaking and writing skills required. Critical thinking and an understanding of lean methodologies are important for success. Assignment will cover projects across the Southeast US, Midwest, Puerto Rico and, at times, the position will need travel to other Merck sites for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Education:

- BS or equivalent experience

Required:

- A minimum of 10 years of experience

Preferred:

- Project Management and Construction Management experience

- Thorough understanding of OSHA 1926

- Familiarity with construction QA/QC, including ANSI, ASME code requirements

- Practical experience with lean construction methods

- Team Leadership
