Job Description:

Postdoctoral position available in an NIH-funded laboratory at the University of California San Francisco Comprehensive Cancer Center for an outstanding candidate interested in the development of targeted approaches to pancreatic and lung cancers. Join us in the unique environment that is the Mission Bay Campus of UCSF.

We use cell lines, mouse models, and clinical samples coupled with cutting edge bioinformatic approaches to examine the necessary pathways behind the deadliest RAS-driven human cancers. Beyond Ras genes, we have focused efforts on the microenvironment of pancreatic cancer and rare, druggable driver genes in lung adenocarcinoma.

We are also working to comprehensively model the changes seen in human cancer genomes in syngeneic murine hosts using a combination of germline genetics and somatic allele delivery by CRISPR and cDNA systems.

UCSF is a highly collaborative environment and our laboratory is closely linked with multiple basic and clinical programs within the cancer center as well as collaborators in the pharmaceutical industry, enabling us to test our translational hypotheses in clinical studies at the cancer center.

  • MD or PhD degree granted within the last 18 months.
  • Experience with animal models and/or informatics.

Qualified candidates are invited to send

  • curriculum vitae
  • cover letter
  • optional description of present and future scientific endeavors
