The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position for scientists who use cutting-edge methods to study the mechanisms underlying protein folding, protein misfolding, or protein quality control. The position is anticipated at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level. We seek an outstanding scientist who will enhance and complement existing strengths in our broad-based interactive biology department, as well as interact with faculty in the new Center for Protein Conformational Diseases.

Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral research experience and will be expected to establish an extramurally funded research program, train graduate students, and actively participate in undergraduate science education.
