DAVIS -- The College of Biological Sciences, University of California, Davis invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track position in the Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level. Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in the biological sciences or related fields.
The Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics (http://mmg.ucdavis.edu/) in conjunction with the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center (http://www.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/cancer/) seeks a colleague with research interests in cancer biology. We aim to strengthen and expand the departmental research portfolio as part of a long-term development strategy. We welcome a broad spectrum of applications from individuals using experimental and/or computational ‘-omics’ approaches on questions of direct cancer-relevance using any vertebrate system.
Candidates must have an excellent record of research achievement and will be expected to develop a strong research program investigating fundamental questions in cancer biology. We seek an interactive colleague who is committed to participating in the departmental and university community through teaching, research, service and mentoring. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in undergraduate and graduate programs, and should be committed to mentoring and fostering diversity.
