The Center for Metabolic Research Center (CMDR) at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University to recruit faculty scientist at the levels of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor.

Qualified applicants will have M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degrees, have completed rigorous training and demonstrated the ability to develop an independent, extramurally-funded research laboratory. The ideal candidate will have expertise and have applied cutting-edge approaches in studying biochemical and molecular-cellular basis of metabolic disorders.

The Center for Metabolic Disease Research (CMDR) is designed to conduct basic science and clinical relevant research to discover new knowledge about metabolic disease. The CMDR will support and promote multidisciplinary research to study mechanisms underlying metabolic diseases, including hyperhomocysteinemia, hyperlipidemia, hyperinsulinemia, obesity, diabetes, vascular inflammation, hypertension, cardiovascular disease (CVD), chronic kidney disease (CKD), hypothalamic microinflammation and aging.

Faculty members in CMDR come from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University with the common bond being overlapping interests in metabolic disease research. All CMDR faculty members have academic appointments within a basic science or clinical department. Any interested faculty member can join the CMDR. We invite adjunct professors, who are our close collaborators in research, from other University or Institution to join our faculty team.

The CMDR has extensive research and education programs, and will facilitate collaboration and promote excellence in research, education, and service.
