Smart software solutions for automotive applications
The present proposal includes a research activities with a commercial interest, defined in the framework of an ongoing collaboration between UNIBO/DISI and Magneti Marelli.
An objective of such a collaboration is the development of innovative software solutions for automotive applications, in a broad sense. Possible research directions for the present research activity include:
- the evaluation of machine learning algorithms for classification/clustering of driver monitoring, e.g., for detecting a drowsiness condition or lack of attention;
- the integration of machine learning solution into an embedded platform with respect to Hard RT OS and memory constraints (RAM, NVM), and possible evaluation of strategy splitting between Hard RT OS ECU (i.e. vehicle domain controller) and Soft RT OS ECU (i.e. Head Unit or mobile devices)
- model-based design for machine learning algorithm definition and code development and training
