Assistant, Associate or Professor
The University of Southern California (USC) Titus Family Department of Clinical Pharmacy invites applications for a tenured/tenure track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor. Individuals with research interests in pharmacogenomics, pharmacometrics, bioinformatics, or medication safety are encouraged to apply.
We are particularly interested in individuals focused on the application of pharmacogenomics or pharmacometrics to predict the efficacy and safety of medications in the treatment of neurodegenerative, cardiovascular, respiratory or endocrine diseases. Specific areas of research expertise should lead to collaborations with both basic and clinical/practice researchers.
Candidates should have a doctoral degree and postdoctoral experience in pharmacogenomics, pharmacometrics, bioinformatics, or a related discipline. The successful candidate should demonstrate an interest and track record in interdisciplinary and translational research that is directly applicable to problems in patient care. The successful candidate is expected to develop an internationally recognized and an externally funded research program. Excellent teaching and communication skills as well as a strong commitment to professional, graduate and post-doctoral education are essential.
USC offers cutting-edge opportunities for multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and translational research collaborations, including an NIH-sponsored Clinical and Translational Science Institute, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Biomedical Simulations Resource (BMSR), the Institute for Neuroimaging and Informatics, and the Zilkha Neurogenetics Institute. Core infrastructure support within USC includes biostatistical and clinical research informatics, molecular genomics, and the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU).
