Position Summary:We are currently searching for a talented FAS that will support Sales and customers in both pre & post-sales contexts.
Responsibilities:
• The position supports Sales and customers in both pre & post-sales contexts. • Pre-sales activities include customer consultations, customer site-based demos, workflow studies, and support for scientific meetings. • Post-sales activities include customer training, implementation of new platforms at customer sites, and troubleshooting. • The position works closely with Sales, Field Service Engineers, and Technical Support. • The position requires extensive travel
-up to 70% of the time, sometimes on short notice.• The ideal candidate will be based near a major metro airport hub and will support customers primarily on the west coast of the US and Canada.
Other Roles & Responsibilities:
• Report on activities in the field on a regular basis to Manager and Service/Sales partners• Stay current on scientific and industry trends and innovations• Accountable for managing expenses, scheduling and tracking activities
Minimum Qualifications:• Requires a minimum Bachelor's Degree in Cell Biology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or equivalent knowledge and industry/functional experience• Excellent technical skill and experience in imaging/microscopy required• High content screening and/or analysis experience required• Valid Driver's license• Demonstrate clear and concise communications with the capability of interacting with a diverse population of internal and external customers• Experience in a customer-facing role and/or providing technical and scientific presentations to a variety of audiences
Preferred Qualifications:• Advanced experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific high content screening and analysis instrumentation and software highly preferred.• Master's degree or PhD in Cell Biology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry.
