Mayo Clinic has a legacy of inspiring hope and contributing to health and well-being by providing the best care to every patient through integrated clinical practice, education and research. As part of a strategic growth initiative in its nationwide research efforts, The Mayo Clinic Department of Cardiovascular Diseases is seeking a new faculty member. Outstanding basic science or translational investigators holding a doctoral degree (PhD, MD/PhD, or MD) are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will be an investigator whose research program addresses innovative and important issues related to the basic science of cardiovascular diseases.

Candidates at all levels of academic rank will be considered. Senior candidates must have a strong publication record and history of NIH-equivalent extramural funding. Junior investigators should have a strong publication record and evidence of successful competition for external funding is preferred. The selected individual is expected to develop and/or maintain a nationally and internationally recognized extramurally funded research program. Importantly, the individual will be an active participant in the Mayo Clinic Cardiovascular Research Center involving all three Mayo sites.
