A staff member with knowledge of logistics, distribution, and supply chain management in agrifood chains, who can operate independently within a given assignment, both nationally and internationally.

  • A product-market analysis must be performed for the Indian market based on which the agro-logistics supply chain for fresh food will be set up. What products are of interest for export? How can the supply chain be set up as efficiently as possible, so that all stakeholders turn a profit and the export position of the country is increased?

  • How can we reduce food waste in Kenya's potato supply chain, so that the commissioning party experiences less food waste and better turnover?

These are examples of the issues that we work on for our commissioning parties. Do you also see a role for innovative SCM assignments in a healthy and sustainable society and do you want to contribute to this along with your colleagues? If so, you are who we are looking for!

As an agro-logistics supply chain research associate, you and the rest of the team will turn projects into successes for the commissioning parties. You will make a contribution to the field of data collection, data analysis, and supply chain design, making it possible to answer the demand in the field for sustainable and profitable agro-logistics.

We are asking you to take part in international projects in Africa, Asia, and South America, but you will also participate in innovative projects in the Netherlands. You take a practical approach and are eager to realise solutions stemming from research in practice. You communicate and are a good listener.

You will work with your colleagues on the development of reusable solutions for comparable problems. You find it enjoyable to publish on these topics, both in professional literature and in academic journals.
