Job Description
The Operations, Production Manager is responsible for the operational control of the Production Facility. This includes 3-5 year growth plans, training and safety of all associates, maintaining and managing the farm property, equipment, and facilities.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, a high level of safety awareness among associates and implements 5S principles
  • Provides guidance, direction and leadership to insure that products are manufactured with the highest level of quality in a safe, compliant, and timely manner that will meet or exceed customer(internal and external) expectations.
  • Generation and revision of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Understanding supply requirements and annual planning to support the business
  • Organize a daily schedule of activities.
  • Ensuring that the farm is in compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Keep senior leadership informed of all risks to the business
  • Ensure good manufacturing practices are utilized
  • Standardize and document procedures to ensure minimal risk of contamination
  • Ensure expenses meet or beat annual budget
  • Ensure that all associates are trained on and held accountable to all company standards
  • Report any actual or potential safety hazards to the Supervisor, Human Resources, Safety Specialist or Senior Management.

    In addition, other duties may be assigned as the business need warrants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in management discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years experience in management or leadership.
  • Must be a proficient communicator with skills in Microsoft office.
  • Experience in an agricultural environment.
  • Must have an understanding of productivity reporting metrics.
  • Must be able to communicate, both written and verbally, using the English language.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Lean training and practical application is a plus.
  • Experience training to standards and designing training.
  • Experience in P&L management or departmental budgetary planning.
