Development of statistical methods and computational tools for the integration of multi-omic data
1 PhD position (Early Stage Researcher) within the INCIPIT CONFUND project (grant agreement n. 665403) co-funded by HORIZON 2020/Marie Sklodowska Curie Action for the implementation of the following research project: “Development of statistical methods and computational tools for the integration of multi-omic data”
Multi-omic data integration is challenging due to the high dimensionality and heterogeneity of the information sources, to the noise and to the complexity of the biological mechanisms. Aim of this project is to develop novel statistical methods and computational tools for integrating multi-omic data such as those collected by next generation sequencing platforms. Candidates are expected to develop novel statistical approaches, implement them in computational tools/platforms and apply the proposed methods to the analysis of real cases in collaboration with biologists.
