The teaching assignment includes the coordination and supervision of practicals (WPO) linked to courses in the subject area of immunology and parasitology within the Bachelor of Science in de Bio-ingenieurswetenschappen and the Master of Science (MSc) in de Bio-ingenieurswetenschappen, MSc in de Biologie and MSc in Biomolecular Sciences. These include the courses of Immunology, Applied Immunology, Medical Biotechnology and Parasitology, Cellular Immunology and Antibody Engineering. Some of these practical courses are taught in Dutch and others in English.
The successful candidate will perform research in the research group Cellular and Molecular Immunology aimed at obtaining a PhD. The specific topic of research will be determined in agreement with the professors in the unit.

The teaching assistant will contribute to a number of PR activities of the Department of Bioengineering sciences.

The candidate should comply with the requirements for performing doctoral research. The candidate should have a diploma of Master of Science (MSc) in Bioengineering Sciences, MSc in Biology, MSc in Chemistry or MSc in Biomolecular Sciences or equivalent.
We are looking for a dynamic teacher of practicals and a motivated researcher with a passion for immunology, excellent coordination skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
A very good command of both Dutch and English is required.
