The Faculty of Dentistry wishes to pursue excellence in fields that promote and improve oral health through both basic research, interdisciplinary research and traditional clinical Research.
The Department's research areas have been within craniofacial growth and development, interdisciplinary treatment of children and adults, tissue reactions / histology, the etiology of malocclusion, adverse effects of orthodontic treatment and long-term results after treatment (retention and stability).
The successful candidate will initiate and lead research within the field of orthodontics. He or she will also be responsible for research guidance and supervision of students and PhD-candidates within the relevant Fields.
