The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC) at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Associate in Dr. Stephen Nimer's laboratory. This individual will be responsible for the design and conduct of research into the transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of normal and malignant hematopoiesis. He or she will work independently designing, carrying out, and critiquing experiments. This candidate will have sophisticated knowledge of epigenetics, molecular & cellular biology, biochemistry and mouse modeling of human cancer. He or she will be responsible for writing grants and for working productively with other scientists within Sylvester or other academic institutions as appropriate.
Education & Experience: The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences or Oncology. Must be able to work with minimum direct supervision; independent judgment is required. Excellent skills in bioinformatics and advanced English skills (both verbal and written) required.
