Project description: This project will focus on developing new methods, models and insight into the transport and electro-optical physics of next generation thin film optoelectronic devices and related materials. The project will involve developing and implementing state-of-the-art electrical and photophysical spectroscopic methods and investigating in particular the links and interdependencies between charge generation and extraction in thin film light harvesting devices such as solar cells and photodiodes. The project is part of a new endeavour at Swansea University in Sustainable Advanced Materials working within a multi-disciplinary group of physicists, materials scientists, chemists and engineers.
