Role of the natural antisense transcript HAS2-AS1 in breast cancer cells ag-gressiveness
In this one-year project, we will recruit a person that will investigate the role of HAS2-AS1 in several breast cancer cell lines aggressiveness. Our unpublished data indicate that HAS2-AS1 is highly expressed in MDA-MB-231 cell line and transient HAS2-AS1 silencing increased cell proliferation and invasion.
Grantholder will prepare several stably HAS2-AS1 silenced breast cancer cell lines.
Comparisons of proliferation, invasion and the ability to induce angiogenesis will be done in vitro on selected clones with a high and low silencing efficiency. Clones will be also shared with our collaborators for the identification of the HAS2-AS1 regulated pathways and xenograft studies
