The Sr. Technical Analyst will work as a member of the Merck Manufacturing Division IT (MMD IT) team. Under the direction of the Leader, the incumbent will be responsible for Identifying, assessing and solving complex business problems as they relate to Supply Chain Planning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing solutions for Supply Chain Planning modules and business requirements gathering, functional analysis, testing, deployment, and support of software applications.

The incumbent will also assume responsibilities as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for all data integrations to and from Supply Chain Planning applications and systems. This position will focus as the liaison with stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. They apply their expertise to improve business processes, develop scalable and performing solutions and support critical business strategies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Work with the business to perform business process analysis, project scope definition / chartering, requirements elicitation and documentation, testing planning and coordination, and requirements coverage through traceability to requirements.

- Lead the systems analysis and design on supply chain projects and programs.

- Engage with business leads to gather and understand solution requirements.

- Develop and produce technical designs, strategy documents and other technical artifacts.

- Facilitate and manage evaluations and proof of concept activities as subject matter expert.

- Ensure technology solutions are production ready and meet the organization standards.

- Work with other Architects and Project Teams to facilitate alignment among architecture decisions.

- Works with the IT technical team to create, change or modify any required systems/application interfaces.

- Responsible for the oversight and resultant work product of external resources, such as contractors and consultants.

- Design and create reports for Planning Applications

The incumbent must work closely with various stakeholders in MMD, IT leadership and peers to understand the key business capabilities required, assess the current state, and align target state with the business strategy.

Qualifications

Education:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Information Technology or related degree.

Required:

- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Information Technology.

- Minimum one (1) year working in Supply Chain planning systems Expert in system analysis, technical design, development and implementation.

- Expert in system analysis, technical design, development and implementation.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Excellent problem solving skills.

- Self-starter and ability to work independently.

Preferred:

- Experience in Kinaxis Rapid Response Authoring and data administration

- Authoring experience - Implementing new Resources (Workbooks, Scheduled tasks, automation chains, dashboards, scorecards) in Rapid response.

- Data administration - Experience in data integration, data sources and mapping, data modeling, system monitoring, importing resources, system scheduled tasks, etc
