Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate

The Department of Pathology at the Keck School of Medicine, located on the Health Sciences Campus of the University of Southern California (USC), is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate to join its team.

The Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate is expected to engage productively in projects defining novel molecular and cellular mechanisms of liver and pancreatic carcinogenesis, leading to publications and federal grant applications.

The successful candidate is expected to: plan, design, and conduct highly technical and complex research projects independently and in consultation with the Principal Investigator; analyze research data and provide interpretations; contribute to the development of research documentation for publication and/or prepare technical reports, papers, and/or records.

The incumbent must have excellent communication skills and in-depth, hands-on experience in:

  1. Molecular Biology and Biochemistry techniques;
  2. Primary cell isolation and culture;
  3. Genetic mouse models.

Minimum Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate within previous 5 years
