Program Manager, IT Business Systems

Position Summary

The Program Manager, Business Systems will report to the Associate Director, Business Systems and will work closely with technical and functional area members, vendors, and contract resources to develop Business Systems objectives of a highly integrated and automated digital environment, coordinate and track the progress of Business Systems projects established by defined milestones and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Directing multiple complex projects involving internal and external partners and vendors
  • Play an integral role in the development of Business Systems strategy
  • Provide leadership to projects; be the hub of knowledge and source of truth
  • Leadership in business process optimization through the lens of digital systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop and implement digital projects
  • Digital solution architect implementing and developing Business Systems strategy
  • Assure oversight and coordination between projects, sponsors, affected parties, and stakeholders
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Understand the intersection of budget and business and how it pertains to the Department
  • Highlight potential risks and act proactively to resolve issues
  • Facilitate and gather information for decision making, propose recommendations, and adjusts program direction accordingly for successful delivery

Qualifications

  • BSc in Computer Science, related field, or relevant qualifications including PMP certification required
  • MBA, Masters, or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years in, Biotech, Tech or Information Technology
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proven work experience with SaaS systems, cloud applications, and digital integration
  • Experience in QA, User Experience, and Business Analysis preferred
  • Data modeling and business process modeling skills strongly preferred
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Effective communicator to management, peers, and project partners
  • Comfortable under pressure
  • Ability to effectively collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment
  • Demonstrated program or project management involving digital transformation, business process optimization, change management
  • Solid technical background in enterprise digital technologies such as Financial systems, HR systems, integration platforms, cloud and cloud hosting
  • An ability to understand and address how tech decisions impact projects and strategy
  • Outstanding relationship, influencing, and negotiation skills
