The Department of Cancer Biology at Wake Forest School of Medicine and the NCI-designated Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center (WFBCCC) are seeking established investigators to fill multiple faculty tenure track positions in Cancer Biology.

Candidate requirements are:

  • PhD, MD or PhD/MD degree
  • Established independent research program
  • Active funding (especially NCI)
  • Ready to engage in cross-disciplinary collaborations, and participate in training the next generation of scientists and clinicians.
  • Investigators with specific interests in genomics, metabolism, redox biology, tumor microenvironment, therapeutic development, stem cells, and animal models of cancer are especially encouraged to apply, but all areas of expertise will be considered.

Specific areas of interests are lung cancer, tobacco-induced cancers, the obesity-cancer link, metastasis, hematological malignancies, and tumor immunology. Partnerships with the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, the Sticht Center on Aging, the Center for Human Genomics, the Center for Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, and other research entities provide a dynamic environment for cutting edge multidisciplinary research.
