Project Scientist position at the Department of Neurosurgery, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, is currently open. The applicant should have PhD /MD, PhD degrees with completion of postdoctoral appointment in area of specialization.

Experience in neuroscience, Alzheimer experimental biology, and preclinical/clinical treatment is required. The duties will include studying the molecular biological /immunological mechanisms of Alzheimer development under exposure to air pollution and novel nano-imaging and nano-drugs therapeutic properties. The novel technologies and therapeutics will be optimized for clinical efficacy to treat brain and neurodegenerative disorders. The project will be under the direction of Drs. Keith Black and Julia Ljubimova at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The candidate should know the basic principles of animal surgery, molecular, immunological and cell biology methods.

The project will be funded by recently obtained multiple NIH/NCI, private and state foundation grants.

Salary is commensurate with the experience.
