This position is in the Protein Bioscience group, which develops technologies for expression, purification and characterization to support the discovery of best in class and first in class therapeutics.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

The primary focus of this position will be on analytical characterization using mass spectrometry. You will execute analytical and characterization experiments for proteins and antibodies using UPLC, LC-MS and LC-MS/MS technologies, including intact mass analysis, peptide mapping, post-translational modifications analysis, epitope mapping, etc..

In addition, you will have the opportunity to investigate and develop new methods and technologies, and support the Protein Bioscience group.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably in an Industrial setting.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
Additional Skills/Preferences
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with LC/MS
  • Knowledge and experience with proteins and monoclonal antibodies would be preferred.
  • Experience with Waters and/or Agilent mass spectrometry systems and software would be considered advantageous.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Record keeping skills with an attention to detail.
