A NIH/DOD-funded postdoctoral or research associate position is available in Dr. Yu's lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai to determine the key drivers of the cancer progression and therapeutic resistance, to establish the mechanisms underlying their effects, and to develop therapeutic agents and novel combinations to inhibit activities of these drivers to more effectively treat malignant cancers including prostate and liver cancer using a variety of preclinical models. The potential focuses include identifying and investigating novel drivers of the Hippo signaling pathway and investigating the effects of angiopoietins and angiopoietin-like proteins on tumor microenvironment. For details, please see http://www.mountsinai.org/profiles/qin-yu. The candidates must have a Ph.D and/or MD degree with a strong background in the following areas: tumor, cell, and/or molecular biology, pathology, and/or immunology. A strong background in bioinformatics and/or chemical biology is a plus.
Motivated individuals should send a description of research interests, curriculum vitae, and the names, phone number, and E-mail addresses of three references to: firstname.lastname@example.org
