The positions require a Ph.D. and I or an M.D. and focus on the biology of two major proteoglycans : decorin and perlecan and their consequent effects on tumor angiogenesis , autophagy, and mitophagy. The fellows will join an exciting and energetic team of researchers using state-of-the-art techniques in an innovative environment that has led to several groundbreaking discoveries over the last three decades .We recently discovered that the aforementioned proteoglycans regulate angiogenesis and autophagy (1-9), and this is the major focus of the lab.
