A Postdoctoral position is available to study translational therapeutics and drug resistance in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in the laboratory of Dr. Sharyn D. Baker in the Division of Pharmaceutics within the College of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH.

The mission of the Division of Pharmaceutics is “to advance basic, translational and clinical pharmaceutical research into innovative therapeutic strategies.”  A successful candidate will join a RO1 funded laboratory that focuses to understand the basic level of AML biology and how this impacts drug activity, with an emphasis on tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) drug combinations.   We then apply this knowledge in pre-clinical animal studies and in human clinical trials to evaluate experimental therapeutic approaches and to improve upon existing therapies.  We are seeking self-motivated candidate with a recent Ph.D in any field of biological/biomedical sciences.  Individuals who intend to follow a career in academic science with an emphasis on translational biology are encouraged to apply.  Expertise in molecular biology techniques, translational research and experimental mouse models are preferred.

A competitive salary based on experience and NIH standards will be offered. Please email your cover letter, CV and research statement (optional) to the lab manager: Daelynn Buelow (daelynn.buelow@osumc.edu)
