Two Post-doctoral positions in computational systems biology are available in the laboratory of Dr. Sriram Chandrasekaran in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan.

Lab members will work in a highly interdisciplinary research environment and collaborate with experts in metabolism, infectious diseases and systems biology. Projects in the lab include 

  • development and application of computational tools for combinatorial drug discovery 
  • application of computational tools to understand and reprogram stem cell metabolism 
  • development of integrative computational models of metabolic regulation with a focus on chromatin-modifying factors and posttranslational modifications

The projects have direct relevance to the rapidly expanding use of computational tools in the biopharma industry. For more information on our research and publications see

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in systems biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science or related field 

  • Experience with omics data analysis, specifically transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics data
  • Knowledge of systems biology approaches - statistical learning and genome-scale modeling
  • Proficient with R, Python or MATLAB
