Postdoctoral fellowship in aging and regeneration

A postdoctoral position is funded to study cellular senescence in aging and injury repair. The Peng Lab (https://penglab.ucsf.edu) is part of the Cardiovascular Research Institute at UCSF, and we are focusing on the role of mesenchymal progenitors in maintaining organ function. Although the focus of our lab is on adult tissue regeneration, applicants with developmental biology background are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful candidate will focus on developing new models to study aging, and dissect the role of senescence in modulating organ function and repair. She/he will have the opportunity to develop new genetic models and apply single-cell sequencing technology to her/his studies. Send curriculum vitae to Tien Peng (http://profiles.ucsf.edu/tien.peng), Cardiovascular Research Institute, University of California San Francisco. Email: tien.peng@ucsf.edu. Applicant should have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree, or within 6 months of completing their terminal degree. Qualified candidates should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others in a team environment.  Candidates including women and underrepresented minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
