Postdoctoral Position – Pediatric Obesity Microbiome - Duke University
A postdoctoral position is available at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham NC investigating the mechanisms by which microbiomes regulate host metabolism in adolescents with obesity. The successful applicant will train and work with an interdisciplinary team of investigators with expertise in pediatric obesity, metabolic disease, intestinal microbiomes, bacterial genetics, tissue engineering, and gnotobiotic animal models. Requirements include a Ph.D. and/or M.D., a strong record of research accomplishments and productivity, and research experience in at least one of the following areas: (1) Bacterial genetics and physiology: experience with anaerobes and high-throughput assays is preferred; (2) Mouse metabolism and physiology: experience with microbiome and gnotobiotic models is preferred.
